Converting an Attic into a Master Bedroom Suite

The attic is often a neglected and forgotten space in a home, but with a little creativity and investment, it can be transformed into the ultimate master bedroom loft suite. Our client needed more living space to accommodate their growing family so we converted this attic into a spacious master bedroom, complete with an en suite bathroom.

Here are some features to consider when converting your attic:

Vaulted Ceilings with Skylights

Vaulted ceilings with skylights are a popular design feature in attic conversions. They create an airy and spacious feel, while also allowing for natural light to flood the room.

Closet Space

One of the most requested features in a master bedroom renovation is ample closet space. In a loft conversion, you can take advantage of the unique space and add built-in closets and shelves that will not only provide you with a great amount of storage but also helps to maximize the space. Make the most of this by installing custom shelving and hanging rods to maximize your storage space.

En Suite Bathroom

An en suite bathroom is a must-have for a master bedroom, and it's especially important when your bedroom is in the attic. On this project we created a spa-like atmosphere by installing a large shower with subway tile and Carrara white marble hexagon mosaic tile. These materials are both durable and beautiful, and they will add a luxurious touch to any bathroom.

Window Seat

A window seat is a great addition to any master bedroom and will provide a cozy place to relax and enjoy the natural light that streams in through the window.

Hidden Built In TV

Consider installing a hidden TV that can be concealed inside a wall with a TV lift mechanism or or framing it as a piece of artwork.  This way, you can enjoy your favorite shows without sacrificing the aesthetic of your room.

Statement pieces

To finish of this project and add a touch of glamour, we installed a contemporary glass designer bubble chandelier. Not only does it illuminate the room beautifully , but it also acts as a stunning focal point.

Secret Doors & Statement Pieces: A Remodel with Personality We’re excited to share one of our favorite recent remodels, a project that perfectly captures what we love to do: blend high-end design with custom craftsmanship to create spaces that truly feel like home. At Liberty Homes, we take pride in creating spaces that will elevate your lifestyle — and our latest kitchen and bathroom remodel is no exception. At the heart of the kitchen sits a gas Wolf range, complete with a pot filler faucet for ultimate convenience. It's framed by a custom-built range hood—one of our favorite features—designed to both anchor the space and elevate its overall aesthetic. The countertops were crafted from elegant quartz, providing a durable yet beautiful workspace, while a custom-panel Sub-Zero refrigerator ensures that every inch of the kitchen reflects the same tailored aesthetic. The room is bright and airy, thanks to vaulted ceiling and the addition of premium Marvin windows—flooding the space with natural light and highlighting every thoughtful detail. Step into the bathroom—if you can find it. Hidden behind a sleek, secret panel door you'll find a beautifully modern design featuring a floating vanity, a striking brick accent wall, and blue hexagon tile flooring that adds just the right pop of color. When it comes to kitchen renovations, homeowners are increasingly looking for ways to blend functionality with style while creating spaces that feel unique and personalized. One of the hottest trends we’re seeing in 2024 is the addition of a hidden butler’s pantry. The homeowners of this project wanted a kitchen that was modern and open, but also practical for entertaining. They loved the idea of keeping the main kitchen clutter-free, but didn’t want to sacrifice the functionality needed for prepping large meals. Enter the hidden butler’s pantry—a clever solution that offers extra storage and prep space, while keeping everything out of sight during gatherings. One of our favorite features in this kitchen renovation was the custom made arched pocket door leading to the butler’s pantry. Arched doorways have been gaining popularity in home design, and incorporating this detail into a hidden pantry creates an unexpected focal point. The homeowners loved how the arch tied together the modern and classic elements of their kitchen, adding a sense of timelessness to an otherwise contemporary space. This project is a perfect example of how a well-thought-out renovation can transform a kitchen into a space that not only looks great but works hard behind the scenes. We absolutely love how this master bath renovation in Sudbury came out! Choosing the right materials in a project like this is crucial in achieving the desired aesthetic. The client opted for high-quality wood effect porcelain tiles for the flooring, complemented by soft, earthy hues for the walk-in shower tiles. The fixtures—in a polished chrome finish—tie everything together beautifully. Click here to connect with our expert team! We're here to turn your vision into reality.
